ABOUT THIS ADAPTATION The BASIC code for “Gathering the Heavenly Manna” (a.k.a., “Manna from Heaven”) was originally published in J. Conrod, Computer Bible Games (Accent Publications, 1984). The present adaptation is based on the code for the TRS-80 Color Computer, with minor adaptations made for gameplay and design. This unofficial, non-commercial HTML browser-based version — v2.1 — is by Andrew Perrin, built with artificial intelligence coding assistance. Past and present versions of the game were adapted in good faith under fair use guidelines for educational, personal, and research purposes. Original BASIC code used with permission by Philip Conrod. HOW TO PLAY
> GOAL
  • Catch as much manna as you can before the sun sets and the Sabbath begins
  • 15 pieces of manna will fall — catch as many as possible
> GAMEPLAY
  • Move your basket EAST or WEST with the arrow keys or the on-screen buttons
  • Each piece appears already falling — line your basket up under its lane
  • The first piece falls the whole way down, so you'll have plenty of time
  • Every later piece starts its fall a little closer to the ground — less time to react as the day wears on
  • Be in the right lane when the manna lands to catch it
